Huawei’s smartphone sales in the US have recently suffered a major collapse. Along with this, the Chinese government has imposed some restrictions on the company and the company’s sales in the local market have decreased at an alarming rate. It’s not like they’ve given up on the smartphone business.
Rather, its new generation flagship model Mate 50 has taken the market by storm. Advance orders for the new phone have crossed 1 million units. Due to some changes in America’s export policies, some big companies have been excluded from importing high-tech products.
Huawei has been forced to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip in its flagship phones. But the technology is not 5G generation. Even the upcoming Mate 50 series sets are using the Forge technology of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. Meanwhile, the company is planning to bring only one series a year after the smartphone business took a hit.
So right now they are busy with the release of the Mate 50 series. They are bringing the 4G set of this series on September 6. However, before the announcement, they are taking reservations from China’s official website and other e-commerce sites. Their number of reservations has crossed 1 million.
